About me

picture Bea GoldschmidtDear diving-friends,
First of all, let me introduce myself: My name is Beate Goldschmidt, but my friends just call me Bea.

I am from the south of Germany, and have been a dive instructor for over 17 years.  I have dived all over the world and have clocked up more than 9000 dives. I was manager and partner of the dive-base “Tauchertreff” in Punat on the island Krk in Croatia. During the winter season, and after my time in Croatia, I visited many dive spots in the Tropics. When I arrived in Bali, I was spoiled by the pleasant water temperatures, and the friendly people, and decided to make the “Island of the Gods” my home.  I have now lived in Bali for almost 10 years. For the first two years I managed the dive operation at Alam Anda Bungalow – Resort. However, in 2002 I decided to start my own company, Habitat H2O, which I still manage today.

In over 5000 dives around Bali, I have discovered some breathtaking dive spots, many of which are away from the usual tourist trails. I offer dive safaris for a minimum of two divers, and usually do not take more than four. My safaris are completely customized, according to the experience and wishes of my guests. I welcome all divers, from beginner to professional uw photographer. During these safaris we visit my secret spots, as well as dive sites such as Nusa Penida with its’ Manta cleaning stations, and the weird and wonderful Mola-mola (Oceanic sunfish) which can usually be seen between July and October. Of course we also dive at the famous USAT Liberty wreck, as well as Menjangan Island and Secret Bay.

Operated with Balinese charm and German reliability, Habitat H2O dive safaris are enjoyed by visiting divers from around the globe.

I would love to show you the beauty and great variety of the underwater world around Bali.

Hope to see you soon!

Bea
